Winery Manager
Zoltán Szakál
„When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps”– this Zoltán Szakál’s favourite quote from Confucius. He also graduated in wine and soft drinks studies from the University of Gardening and Food Science in Budapest. He began working for Csányi Winery in 2001 and soon he was appointed winery manager. He was put in charge of the whole production in 2011, which task he has been completing with great enthusiasm ever since. „I am open to new initiatives and we carry on several experiments with our colleagues, and as a consequence besides traditional vinification techniques we add innovative solutions with great success.”
When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.
Viticulturist
Roland Nagy
The first impression of grape growing in his granfather’s tiny vineyard directed him towards his future profession. He obtained crop grower certificate at the secondary school of the town of Mohács, and then at the University of Keszthely he studied viticulture – he also chose grape protection to be the topic of his graduation thesis. He has been working for Csányi Winery since 2003, where he enjoys having a versatile job with constant challenges. „There are not two years with equal characteristics, and we always encounter things that cannot be learnt from course books.”He admires the beauty of the landscape and his love of nature makes him the happiest when his duties of viticulture take him out to the vineyards.
...we always encounter things that cannot be learnt from course books.
